A growth-stage company asked us to review the architecture of an internal platform two prior consultancies had failed to make work. Six weeks of audit produced a written brief. The brief produced an offer to build the replacement. PM Shift emerged from those patterns.

The second opinion that stopped a rewrite.

A board was being asked to approve a multi-quarter rewrite of a system the engineering team described as unsalvageable. Two weeks of diagnostic concluded otherwise — and identified the three changes that would buy the next four years. The rewrite was cancelled.

The diligence that priced an acquisition correctly.

A strategic acquirer asked us to review a target's technical estate before signing. Three weeks of diligence surfaced a load-bearing dependency on a single contractor and a security posture that would not pass post-deal review. The deal closed at a price reflecting those facts — and a sixty-day remediation plan we wrote together.
